Project Overview
These works were part of my Second Year Game Art module for Vega School Durban’s Game Design and Development degree, specicially improving our 3D modelling and animation skills. The project was broken up into 3 parts, each pertaining to a particular part of the 3D animation process for game development.
We were initially provided with a pre-made model of a Viking character: "Erik", along with his helmet and weapon props, to adjust for animation readiness.
We were also required to design and 3D model our own Viking-inspired characters and props, matching Erik's style and overall structure to allow us to reuse the same Autodesk 3DSMax animation rig across both characters. Finally, the project concluded with the design of two additional Viking helmets, sculpted in ZBrush to create high resolution 3D models.
